This Community Care Program service provides assistance with household tasks such as cleaning, planning and preparing meals, doing laundry, shopping and running errands. Homemakers also assist clients with personal care tasks such as dressing, bathing, grooming and following special diets.

Mandatory Background Checks: All Homemaker providers are mandated to follow the requirements of Public Act 91-0598. No Homemaker provider shall knowingly hire any individual or retain an employee in a homemaker position who has been convicted of committing or attempting to commit any of the crimes under the Criminal Code of 1961. The provider must initiate, on each applicant’s behalf, a Non-Fingerprint Criminal History Check upon a conditional offer of employment.
