Be a part of this grand experience. Professionals serving older adults from all parts of Illinois come together annually at the Governor's Conference on Aging to learn, to challenge assumptions and to share ideas.
The conference is held each December in Chicago. It is the Department’s biggest, most comprehensive training event as well as the largest statewide meeting of professionals who work in these fields.
The 2008 conference highlights cutting edge developments, innovations and best practices in the aging network from novices to experts.
The 2008 conference will feature several tracks. Suggested topics include but are not limited to:
- Children, Youth and Aging
- Caregivers
- Long-Term Care Reform
- Elder Rights
- Healthy Aging
- Marketing / Outreach to Targeted Groups / Use of Technology
- Public Benefits and Housing
- Organizational Development and Management
If your session does not fit any of the above categories, submit it anyway.
